4 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop prospect Bobby Witt Jr. continued his strong spring with a 2-for-3 showing against the San Francisco Giants on Saturday. The second-overall selection in the 2019 draft hit his first homer of the spring in the third inning against big-league reliever Tyler Rogers. Just 20 years old, Witt has yet to officially play above rookie ball but his strong showing could land him in high-A ball when the regular season begins. He's 5-for-15 this spring with just two strikeouts and the biggest concern with Witt Jr. was his lack of consistent contact. Royals incumbent shortstop Adalberto Mondesi has struggled to produce at the plate and holds a career 81 wRC+. Witt is ranked by Rotoballer as the third-best shortstop for dynasty baseball.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
