Bobby Witt Jr. Promoted To Triple-A On Sunday
3 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. was promoted to Triple-A Omaha on Sunday, according to Anne Rogers of MLB.com. The move is not too surprising, as Witt had been raking at Double-A Northwest-Arkansas this season, slashing .292/.369/.568 with 16 homers, 14 steals, 49 RBI and 44 runs scored over 58 games. Witt is now one step closer to the majors, but there's really no rush right now for the Royals to promote him all the way to Kansas City. If Witt can continue to rake at Triple-A, it's possible that we could see him get a brief call-up late this year. It's not time to stash him in redraft leagues yet, but definitely keep a close eye on him at Triple-A.
