Bobby Witt Jr. Returns Against Yankees
2 years agoKansas City Royals rookie shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. (hamstring) is back in the starting lineup on Saturday against New York Yankees left-hander Nestor Cortes, serving as the designated hitter and batting second in the lineup. Fantasy managers were beginning to wonder if Witt would require a trip to the injured list after he missed the last five games with a hamstring injury, but he'll return on Saturday after ramping up baseball activities on Friday. The 22-year-old's five-category upside makes him an everyday starter in single-year fantasy leagues. In his first big-league season, he's hitting .258/.301/.459 with 14 long balls, 51 RBI, 51 runs scored and 20 stolen bases in 353 at-bats.
