4 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. has been demoted to the minors, according to MLB Network's Ken Rosenthal. Witt had been making a push to crack the Opening Day roster this spring, as he has slashed .289/.325/.526 with three home runs and seven RBI in 14 games. The demotion shouldn't be too surprising however, as he has only one year in the minors under his belt, playing in the Rookie-level Arizona League in 2019. He has looked good at the plate this spring, and he could very quickly make a case for a mid-season call up.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
