6 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Boog Powell (knee) took batting practice for the first time since he went on the disabled list on Tuesday, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Powell has been out for a couple of months with an MCL sprain sustained while running the bases. Power was in a battle during spring training for the center field spot against Dustin Fowler, who did well after being demoted to Triple-A, but Fowler has struggled since being called up.
