7 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Brad Brach had a disastrous outing on Thursday, blowing his second save of the season. Brach entered the game in the ninth inning with a three-run lead. He got the first batter out but then proceeded to give up a walk, back-to-back doubles, another walk and a single before getting pulled. Brach left with an ugly stat line of three runs on three hits and two walks with no strikeouts in one-third of an inning pitched. While Brach has pitched well in the closer's role overall this season, bullpen mates Darren O'Day and Zach Britton are both making their way back to the Orioles club, which could make the closer role interesting, especially if Brach has any more outings like this. The expectation is that Britton will be eased back in as the regular closer, which will eventually make Brach unattractive in saves leagues.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
