Brad Hand Nails Down Two-Inning Save
7 years agoSan Diego Padres closer Brad Hand recorded a six-out save Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves. Hand allowed a double to his first batter but retired the next six Braves without hassle. He now has 18 saves, fourth best in the majors. Hand's services have been utilized in both the eighth and ninth innings this season and five of his saves are of the multi-inning variety. Hand holds a rock-solid 2.01 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and superb 14.1 K/9. Unless the Padres move him via trade, he should be considered one of fantasy baseball's best closing options.
