7 years agoSan Diego Padres closer Brad Hand recorded five outs for his 15th save Wednesday against the Washington Nationals. Hand surrendered base hits to the first two Nationals in the ninth inning but escaped unscathed with a strikeout and double play to finish the game. He struck out two of the six batters he faced. Although Hand's seemed shakier this season, he still holds a sturdy 2.08 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and excellent 13.5 K/9. He's blown only two saves and his 15 game-ending handshakes are second-most in the National League. Hand is the undisputed closer in San Diego.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
