7 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Brad Miller (toe) will play in a Grapefruit League game Saturday against the Red Sox. Miller played in a minor league game on Thursday and went hitless, but he's progressing and expects to be ready for Opening Day. After surprisingly hitting 30 homers in 2016, Miller predictably fell back down to earth last year, mainly due to injuries. He's expected to mostly play the keystone for Tampa in 2018, but owners shouldn't expect a return to the 30-homer mark. Miller is far less exciting without shortstop eligibility and is really only a target for middle infield depth in deep mixed and AL leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
