5 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Brad Peacock allowed six runs in three innings and took the loss Thursday versus the Pirates. Peacock allowed seven hits while walking one and only struck out two in the abbreviated start. He's had his good starts, such as his 11 strikeout effort vs the Yankees last time out, but has now given up four runs or more in three of his last four starts making the New York game look like the outlier. His swinging strike rate of 9 percent is well below the 13.5 percent rate he posted as a reliever last season and he's allowing almost 40 percent hard contact. Peacock is a solid streamer with good a good matchup but he should be avoided next time out at Colorado.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
