5 years agoHouston Astros pitcher Brad Peacock is heading to Houston to evaluate his shoulder after experiencing some soreness on Saturday. He's been sidelined since June 28 with shoulder discomfort and was slated to return to the rotation Monday after a successful start in Double-A. Framber Valdez will take over his start against the Angels while we can rule Peacock out at least another couple of weeks with this setback. The 31-year-old is having a decent season as a starter with a 6-6 record, 4.13 ERA, and 89 strikeouts in 85.0 innings pitched after a bullpen role in 2018. It's not out of the question that Peacock could return to a relief role when he recovers from the injury, so owners can afford to cut ties if he's taking up valuable roster space.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
