6 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby allowed two goals on 24 shots in Sunday's 3-2 shootout road victory against the New York Rangers. Holtby has won three straight starts, his longest streak since rattling off five wins in a row from Nov. 19-30. He is now 24-16-4 with a 2.94 goals-against average and .909 save percentage. Perhaps he is rounding into form, and just in time as the team ramps up for the stretch run and defense of their Stanley Cup championship. Next up is a battle against the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night in front of a national audience.--Daniel Dobish
