7 years agoCleveland Indians outfielder Bradley Zimmer was placed on the disabled list with a left rib contusion. Zimmer got hurt a week ago while making a play in the outfield, but he was trying to play through it. He'd only made one start since the injury, so he'll head to the 10-day disabled list to allow Cleveland to call up Neil Ramirez. Zimmer has struggled his way to a .224/.283/.337 line, but he should have his job waiting for him when he returns from the disabled list, which could be as soon as he's eligible.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
