Brandin Cooks Rises To The Occasion In AFC Title Win
7 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Brandin Cooks caught six passes for 100 yards in the Patriots comeback win over the Jaguars 24-20 in the AFC Championship Game. This was the very reason New England acquired Cooks in the offseason -- to be a difference maker on the biggest stage. Cooks battled Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey the entire game and won a good share of those battles. He even was productive outside of the box score, drawing a couple of pass-interference penalties. Quarterback Tom Brady looked to Cooks early and found success throughout the game after tight end Rob Gronkowski exited the game with a concussion. Cooks will have his shot at glory in two weeks when the Patriots take on the Eagles in the Super Bowl.
