2 years agoCincinnati Bengals quarterback Brandon Allen (concussion) exited Friday's preseason matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals. He will not return. With Joe Burrow (appendectomy) sitting this one out, Allen was handling things under center, although the 29-year-old didn't last long. He has been a relatively reliable backup over his last two years in Cincinnati, accumulating 1,074 yards, seven touchdowns (four interceptions), and completing 60.8% of his passes. While Allen's status is unknown moving ahead, Jake Browning and Drew Plitt will likely see plenty of action during the rest of the preseason if he isn't available.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
