Brandon Belt Hits Two-Run Homer Sunday
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt (knee) went deep Sunday, knocking a two-run home run as part of a 2-for-4 day at the plate with three total RBI. Belt did not start this contest, as the Milwaukee Brewers started a left-handed opener, but he soon came off the bench as a pinch-hitter. Belt is in the midst of a strong stretch at the plate, slashing .524/.565/1.048 with three home runs in 23 plate appearances over his last seven games. He has a .781 OPS with eight homers, 22 runs scored, 19 RBI, and a stolen base in 195 plate appearances this year, which is not what fantasy managers hoped for, but it's useful nonetheless.
