3 years agoUpdating an earlier report, San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt is not in the lineup on Thursday because he was placed on the bereavement list, according to Maria Guardado of MLB.com. To replace him on the active roster, the Giants have recalled catcher Chadwick Tromp from Triple-A. Over eight games with the Giants this season, Tromp is slashing .235/.235/.412 with one homer, two RBI and a run scored. Meanwhile at Triple-A, Tromp has slashed .232/.278/.399 with six homers, 22 RBI and 22 runs scored over 48 games. It's unlikely Tromp will be worth rostering in any redraft formats while he's with the team.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
