3 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt (knee) ran the bases on Saturday and expects to begin a rehab assignment within the next few days, according to John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle. This is good news for Belt, who has been out since injuring his knee on a slide at home plate on June 23. He's had a solid year at the plate so far, slashing .253/.363/.512 with 11 home runs, 28 RBI and 30 runs scored over 55 games. There's still no timetable for his return, but managers in deeper formats and NL only leagues should scoop him up if he's available.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
