Brandon Belt To Decide On Knee Surgery
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt (knee) received a second opinion on his right knee Tuesday, and surgery was recommended. He is expected to decide in 24 hours whether to rest or undergo surgery on his injured knee. The 34-year-old has been battling knee inflammation in his right knee and was placed on the 10-day injured list last Wednesday. He underwent an MRI last Friday, and the results came back negative. Belt is slashing .213/.326/.350 with eight homers, 23 RBI, 25 runs and a stolen base over 78 games. Wilmer Flores and Yermin Mercedes should see an uptick in at-bats while Belt is sidelined.
