Brandon Belt Won’t Be Shut Down
6 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt (knee) got an MRI on Saturday and it showed no change in his knee. Belt won’t be shut down for now, but the club is likely to monitor his situation throughout the rest of the season. Belt had a strong first half, but has struggled in the second half and can safely be dropped in redraft leagues. Austin Slater filled in at first base on Saturday and could see more starts there for the remainder of the season. Slater is worth consideration in redraft leagues, but offers more value for dynasty owners.
