7 years agoCincinnati Reds left-hander Brandon Finnegan (biceps) is still experiencing "minimal soreness" in his pitching arm but he was able to play catch on Wednesday. Finnegan is not expected to throw off the mound until the soreness is gone but it appears he's trending in the right direction. Finnegan was removed from a Cactus League game this past Sunday after he felt spasms in his left forearm, setting off some concern among the organization. The pitcher dealt with a multitude of injuries in 2017 and made just four appearances for the Reds. Despite the minor nature of Finnegan's injury, it is unknown whether he will be ready to pitch by the beginning of the regular season.--Matt T - RotoBaller
