6 years agoWashington Nationals reliever Brandon Kintzler was activated from the disabled list prior to the team's game against the Rays. Kintzler has been on the shelf since June 10. Washington recently acquired Kelvin Herrera, taking Kintzler out of the eighth-inning setup role. However, his return gives the Nationals arguably the best bullpen in baseball. Kintzler has pitched to a 4.45 ERA this year with a 21/12 K/BB ratio but is coming off an All-Star season that saw him pitch to a 3.03 ERA and a 39/16 K/BB ratio.--Dan Fappiano
