3 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Nationals. The 26-year-old will get the day off after homering in back-to-back games. He's slashing .205/.316/.426 with 16 homers, 38 RBI, 41 runs scored and four stolen bases across 307 plate appearances in 2021. Lowe provides decent power, but his 107 WRC+ is down 43 points compared to 2020 (150). Mike Brosseau will start at second base and bat eighth against Nationals left-hander Jon Lester. Brosseau is hitting .180 with four homers and 16 RBI across 149 plate appearances. The 27-year-old is mainly a streamer in AL-only leagues.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
