3 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe won't start on Saturday evening against the Mariners. However, manager Kevin Cash indicated that Lowe's absence is "just a day off," as the skipper will hold him out against Seattle righty Logan Gilbert. Instead, Joey Wendle will enter the picture and take over duties at second, with the 31-year-old batting .331 against right-handers this season. Lowe should be back on Sunday against southpaw Marco Gonzales, but for now, Wendle should surely be considered as a starting option in all fantasy formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
