Brandon Lowe Removed During Rehab Game
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Brandon Lowe (head, back) was removed during Thursday's rehab game with Triple-A Durham. The left-handed slugger was struck in the back of the helmet during a plate appearance in the third inning. As a precaution, the team decided to pull Lowe from the contest. The 28-year-old is working his way back from a lower back injury that was kept him sidelined since mid-May. The hope is that the Rays will get Lowe back in the lineup after the All-Star break. This incident doesn't sound like something that is going to stall his rehab assignment.
