Brandon Lowe Returns Against Yankees
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Brandon Lowe (shoulder) is back in the starting lineup on Monday against New York Yankees right-hander Gerrit Cole, serving as the designated hitter and batting second in the order. Lowe sat out of Sunday's game with shoulder soreness, but it turned out to be nothing serious and he'll be back in there a day later. He's off to a rough start in August, batting just .182 (6-for-33) with a homer, eight RBI and three runs scored in eight games played, so fantasy managers may want to think twice before starting him in a tough matchup on Monday against Cole. Overall on the year, Lowe is hitting .237/.309/.429 with eight homers, 24 RBI, 29 runs scored and one stolen base in 198 at-bats.
