3 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe is not in the starting lineup against a left-handed pitcher on Sunday against the Boston Red Sox. Lowe doubled and walked in the extra-inning win over the Red Sox on Saturday, but although he has three home runs and eight RBI on the young season, he's hitting just .196 (11-for-56) with eight walks and 14 strikeouts through his first 15 games of the season. He'll get a normal day of rest against veteran southpaw Rich Hill. Young infielder Vidal Brujan will draw the start at the keystone on Sunday and hit seventh in the batting order. The 24-year-old switch-hitter will be seeing his first action of the season after going 2-for-26 with two RBI and a stolen base in his first 10 major league games in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
