2 years agoThe preliminary indication is that Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh (knee) suffered a bone bruise in Tuesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds, according to interim manager Rob Thomson. Marsh is going for an MRI exam and the team is awaiting the results. A bone bruise would be a best-case scenario for an injury that looked much worse when it initially occurred as Marsh was attempting to rob a home run hit by Reds second baseman Jonathan India. For now, fantasy managers should consider the 24-year-old to be day-to-day. Marsh was traded to the Phillies from the Los Angeles Angels at the Aug. 2 deadline and had gone 7-for-31 (.226) with no homers, two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in his first 11 games for the Phils entering Tuesday's contest.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
