7 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy (knee) has been throwing but still isn't 100 percent, according to manager Brian Snitker. "He’s throwing to keep his arm (fit), but he’s just playing catch. The knee’s still not 100 percent to where he can get up there and start torquing it on the mound," Snitker said. The veteran right-hander doesn't look like he'll be back anytime soon. He had a 4.92 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 7.4 K/9 over 15 starts for the Braves. He'll only be a deep league streaming option in the right matchups if he returns to the rotation in the second half.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
