Brandon McManus A Borderline Starter In Week 1
2 years agoBecause of an extremely inconsistent Denver Broncos offense last year, kicker Brandon McManus finished tied for 17th in overall fantasy points in standard scoring at his position. But the addition of nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson in 2022 gives the offense a much higher ceiling heading into the Week 1 season opener on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks. The 31-year-old kicker has one of the stronger legs in the NFL and made 83.9 percent of his 31 field-goal attempts in 17 games last year while missing just one of his 34 extra-point tries. Wilson will give Denver's offense much more scoring opportunities than Teddy Bridgewater did in 2021, in turn making McManus more attractive in fantasy. He'll be a borderline starting option in 12-team leagues on Monday night.
