3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) is back in the lineup batting leadoff and playing centerfield on Monday against southpaw Jesus Luzardo and the Miami Marlins. Nimmo was pulled during the sixth inning of Friday's 6-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds after experiencing a pinching feeling in his hamstring, then went 0-for-1 off the bench in Sunday's 7-1 loss. The 28-year-old hasn't faced Luzardo yet this season but is hitting .348/.464/.413 overall against lefties in 2021. Luzardo, on the other hand, has been struggling this season and has a 6.87 ERA over 38 innings pitched.--Chelena Goldman
