6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo was setting the fantasy community ablaze just a couple of weeks ago, but unfortunately those times have changed. Nimmo has struggled mightily recently and that  continued in an 8-6 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday. Nimmo did pick up a double but finished 1-for-4 with two strikeouts. It was the third straight game where Nimmo struck out twice, and he now only has two hits in his last 22 at-bats. Of course, this also represents the time frame immediately after Nimmo didn't start a few games after getting hit by a pitch on his pinkie finger. It’s certainly possible the injury has lingered and is impacting his play. Hopefully, Tuesday’s double will help Nimmo break out of the funk, but we wouldn’t bet on that just yet.--John Smith
