3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo, who will be a free agent after the 2022 season, said he hasn't had any contract extension talks with the team. However, he said he's interested in signing a long-term extension with the Mets. "This is all I've known, being a New York Met, and I like the direction this team is heading," Nimmo said. The 28-year-old is the table-setter for the Mets and is an excellent target for those in leagues that count on-base percentage, as he sports a career .393 OBP in six big-league seasons with the Mets. However, Nimmo has played in over 100 games in a season just once. If he can stay healthy in 2022, he should have a productive season given New York's improved lineup. In 92 games last year, Nimmo hit .292/.401/.437 with eight home runs and 28 RBI in 386 plate appearances.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
