3 years agoNew York Mets outfielders Brandon Nimmo and Mark Canha are not in the Game 1 lineup on Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants for the first game of a doubleheader. Both players have been on the COVID-19 list, but the Mets activated Nimmo on Tuesday. It's possible that he'll be back in the starting lineup for Game 2. The 29-year-old hasn't played since last Wednesday. Canha wasn't activated on Tuesday, but he could return as early as Wednesday after going on the COVID-19 list last Friday with Nimmo. Jeff McNeil will continue to play left field and lead off in Game 1 on Tuesday, while Travis Jankowski is back in center field and batting eighth against Giants right-hander Alex Cobb.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
