Brandon Nimmo Quietly Producing Nicely
6 years agoThe New York Mets were happy to give outfielder Brandon Nimmo a chance to play every day with injuries in their outfield, and he is certainly rewarding them immensely for it. In the nightcap of a doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves on Monday, Nimmo finished 1-for-5 with a home run in the 8-5 victory. It was Nimmo’s fifth long ball of the year. Across 104 at-bats this season, Nimmo is slashing a fantastic .260/.408/.519 (.927 OPS) with the aforementioned five dingers, four doubles, four triples, 22 runs scored and eight RBI. If you’re in an on-base percentage league, Nimmo needs to be owned, as he has always demonstrated an uncanny ability to consistently get on base.
