Brandon Nimmo Reaches Base Three Times On Monday
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a walk and a run scored in the Mets 15-11 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Monday. Nimmo has been an on-base machine over the past seven games posting a .441 on-base percentage with 10 walks and five hits. While his batting average is just .208 over that period, he has had an excellent 2021 overall thus far. He is hitting .310/.433/.440 over 35 games (116 at-bats) with two homers, 14 RBI, and 19 runs scored. Nimmo should continue to perform as a tremendous leadoff hitter for the Mets through the second half. He should remain active in all formats, particularly in leagues with on-base percentage as a scoring category.
