Brandon Nimmo Reaches Base Three Times On Thursday
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, and two runs scored in the Mets 6-3 loss to the Braves on Thursday. Nimmo continues to get on base regularly as a table-setter for the Mets who have had issues scoring all season. Over his past 15 games, Nimmo has posted a .231/.429/.346 slash line with 10 runs scored. Although his batting average has been subpar over this time frame, he is still hitting .297/.425/.412 over 44 games on the season. Nimmo should continue to perform as a tremendous leadoff hitter for the Mets through the second half. If the Mets can further bolster their lineup before the trade deadline, his potential to score runs and accumulate RBI would also be enhanced. Fantasy managers should keep Nimmo active in all formats, especially in leagues with on-base percentage as a scoring category.
