Brandon Nimmo Shines In Return To Major Leagues
7 years agoAfter being called up earlier in the week by the New York Mets, outfielder Brandon Nimmo put on a field day Sunday against the Brewers. The young outfielder went 3-for-5 with a home run, a triple and two runs scored. The home run marked Nimmo's first of the season, while his big day brought his batting average all the way up to .400. The former top prospect has proven he has the talent to succeed at the major league level, but, unless his big day earns him more playing time, it is hard to trust him on an everyday basis with all three starting Mets' outfielders healthy. For now, Nimmo is a player to watch as a sudden injury could make him a valuable piece in fantasy leagues.
