3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) has been placed on the 10-day injured list. The lefty hitting outfielder injured his leg while running out a ground ball during the first game of Saturday's doubleheader. This is a significant blow to the Mets who are fighting for a playoff spot. Nimmo was an important part of their offense and is now expected to miss significant time. Albert Almora Jr. and Kevin Pillar are expected to see more playing time.
