Brandon Nimmo To Begin Rehab Assignment Sunday
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (finger) will begin a rehab stint with Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday. The 28-year-old has been out of the big club lineup since the beginning of May after tearing a ligament in his left index finger. Despite the small sample size, Nimmo has been solid this season, batting .318 to go along with eight RBI, seven runs, two stolen bases, and a homer throughout 66 at-bats. He could be back with the team by next weekend for the three-game homestand against Philly if all goes well in the minors throughout the week.
