6 years agoUnless you’ve been living under a rock, by now you know that New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo has been tearing baseballs apart whenever he’s had the chance in 2018. What you might not realize, though, is just how good he’s been over the previous two weeks. Across his last 13 games played, Nimmo is slashing .327/.441/.776 (1.216 OPS) with five home runs, five doubles, one triple, 11 runs scored, nine RBI and three stolen bases. That right there is a guy who contributes across the board in every category -- the fantasy dream. Even when outfielder Yoenis Cespedes returns from injury, the Mets will have little choice to continue playing Nimmo, likely at the expense of the hurting/struggling Jay Bruce.--John Smith
