3 years agoWashington Football Team All-Pro offensive guard Brandon Scherff will go on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, according to sources. Scherff will be ineligible to play in the rescheduled game against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday. Washington's projected offensive line with Scherff sidelined will be Charles Leno at left tackle, Ereck Flowers at left guard, Keith Ismael at center, Saahdiq Charles at right guard and rookie Samuel Cosmi at right tackle. Cosmi is on Injured Reserve but is scheduled to be activated in time to play on Tuesday. The loss of Scherff is a big one against Philadelphia, especially if neither quarterback Taylor Heinicke nor Kyle Allen can test out of the COVID protocols in time to play Tuesday.
