3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Brandon Waddell has been optioned to Triple-A Memphis, according to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Waddell has bounced between three teams this season, with most of his work coming with St. Louis where he posted a 4.15 ERA with six strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings of work. He's shown some signs of being a decent reliever in the minors, but that has not translated to the big league level at this point. Goold adds that a corresponding move will be announced by the Cardinals later in the day on Friday.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
