Brandon Woodruff Could Make Two Rehab Starts
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff (ankle, hand) will make a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Nashville on Saturday, and if that goes well, he could potentially make one more rehab start for Single-A Wisconsin before returning to Milwaukee's rotation. Woodruff initially landed on the injured list with a sprained ankle, but he's been slowed since with Raynaud's syndrome, which has caused numbness in his fingers and hands. It remains to be seen how it might affect his performance the rest of the way, but fantasy managers should be getting the 29-year-old right-hander back by the end of June. Pounce on him now if he's on your league's waiver wire, as his 28.5% strikeout rate, 7% walk rate and 3.83 FIP point to better times ahead if he can stay healthy.
