3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff (9-7) earned the win over San Francisco on Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and three walks while striking out eight over six innings. The right-hander threw 70 of 92 pitches for strikes and induced an astounding 19 swings and misses. The only run he allowed came off a Brandon Belt home run in the sixth inning. Woodruff has bounced back from yielding a season-high six runs to St. Louis on August 19th by allowing only one earned run over his last 12 innings. He'll carry a 2.35 ERA and 185:40 K: BB into his next start, which is tentatively slated to come at home against Philadelphia on Monday.--James Stokke
