Brandon Woodruff Gets Crushed For Seven Runs
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff went only three innings giving up nine hits, seven runs, and one walk while striking out one in the 11-10 win over the Colorado Rockies. Despite Woodruff's terrible beginning to the game, he was able to escape with a no-decision as Chad Bettis put up an equally awful performance on the night. Woodruff's lack of a third pitch to rely upon leaves him often in tough situations as a starter as he has trouble setting up and putting away hitters. Woodruff will most likely be demoted after this start as he was only called up in an emergency as Zach Davies was unable to start on Friday. He shouldn't be owned until he can prove himself in the majors.
