4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers right-handed pitcher Brandon Woodruff was placed on the paternity list prior to Monday’s contest against Pittsburgh, forcing a minimum three-game absence. Woodruff has emerged as the club’s ace in 2020, having posted a 1.18 WHIP with 48 strikeouts in 41 ⅔ innings. Having started Sunday, it’s feasible that Milwaukee will not need to skip Woodruff’s spot in the rotation if he’s able to return to the club in time to make his projected start against Cleveland this weekend.--Jesse Borek
