Brandon Woodruff Not Great In 2018 Rotation Debut
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff made his 2018 starting debut, going 3 2/3 innings while giving up four hits, two earned runs, two walks and striking out three. Not exactly the start Woodruff was looking for in terms of proving himself in the rotation especially considering in his 3 2/3 innings, he threw 95 pitches and Brewers manager Craig Counsell had to go to the bullpen a lot earlier than he would've liked. Woodruff is not exactly the best fit in the rotation, as his two-pitch nature really leads to him having trouble putting people away, with this game being a great example. Woodruff should only be owned in extremely deep or NL-only leagues.
