2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff was sharp in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Rockies by allowing one run over six frames of work. He struck out eight on the evening while giving up four hits and a walk with the only run coming around on a Brendan Rodgers single in the first. Woodruff would go on to retire the next 10 batters he faced as he took his record to 8-3 on the year. After missing nearly a month of action in June, the 29-year-old has looked a lot more like his previous self since his return as he holds a 3.73 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with 92 K through 72 1/3 IP. He'll look to keep his momentum going in his next start versus the Red Sox next week.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
