4 years agoBoston Red Sox closer Brandon Workman worked a clean ninth inning to earn his third save of the season in Friday's 5-3 victory against the Blue Jays. The 31-year-old received tremendous support from his defense with the first batter he faced, as infielder Travis Shaw crushed a ball over the right fielder wall that was caught by outfielder Alex Verdugo to keep the Red Sox lead at two runs. Workman retired two other batters and surrendered one hit to record his third save through five appearances on the season. Workman should be owned across standard fantasy formats as he will continue to receive the late-inning situations and save opportunities moving forward.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
